About Us

Central Shipping Containers sells new and used shipping containers and manages their transport and delivery for customers across marine, construction and storage sectors. We pride ourselves on reliable product knowledge, timely logistics and strong customer relationships.

Role Summary

We're seeking an on-site Sales Executive to generate leads, close sales and grow repeat business for our container inventory and transport services. The ideal candidate has sales experience, familiarity with shipping containers, and an understanding of transport coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify new customers via phone, email and on-site meetings.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing, transport booking and delivery coordination.
  • Provide accurate product information on container sizes, conditions, modifications and pricing.
  • Prepare quotes that include container sale and transport costs; negotiate terms and close sales to meet revenue targets.
  • Coordinate logistics with transport partners and internal operations to ensure timely collection, delivery and placement.
  • Attend site to inspect inventory and support customer viewings.
  • Maintain and update CRM records, sales pipelines and transport documentation.
  • Prepare and manage invoices and basic bookkeeping tasks using Xero; maintain accurate spreadsheet records.
  • Communicate professionally via email and telephone with customers, carriers and internal teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven sales experience; B2B or industrial sales preferred.
  • Experience with shipping containers and/or transport/logistics coordination preferred.
  • Proficient in Xero, Excel/Google Sheets and professional email communication.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work on-site full time.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license.
