Your key responsibilities include:Design, build, and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards (Power Query/M, DAX, model optimisation, incremental refresh).Translate business needs into wireframes and polished UI/UX with clear information architecture, accessibility, and data storytelling best practices.Own semantic model design (star/one -big -table where appropriate), calculations, and row -level security; ensure accuracy and performance.Implement deployment pipelines/CI -CD, version control, and release management; enforce governance and certified datasets.Conduct stakeholder workshops, elicit requirements, prioritise backlog, and iterate rapidly with prototypes and usability feedback.Diagnose and tune report/model performance (query folding, VertiPaq analysis, aggregations); troubleshoot data quality issues.Write robust SQL; integrate with Azure data services (e.g., ADLS, ADF, Synapse/Snowflake connectors) and enterprise security standards.Produce documentation, handover materials, and training; participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with data engineers/Tech BAs.
