The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director – Disability Support Services to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our organisation. This role is ideal for a professional with strong leadership skills and a background in disability services, community health, or social care.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding standards, drive service growth, support staff development, and maintain a positive, inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of disability support services.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines, policies, and regulations.
  • Oversee rostering, service delivery, and client engagement.
  • Manage and mentor a team of support workers and coordinators.
  • Build strong relationships with participants, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement service improvement strategies.
  • Report to the Board/Managing Director on service performance and growth opportunities.

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a senior leadership or management role within disability support, community services, aged care, or allied health.
  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS framework, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a person-centred environment.
  • High level of organisational and time management skills.

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in Disability Services, Community Services, Social Work, Allied Health, Business Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
