Overview of our role

We're looking for a thoughtful and collaborative Commercial Adviser to support the Commercial Manager Qld in nurturing the performance of our Gas pipelines and processing assets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, working across teams, and contributing to meaningful outcomes.

You'll play a key role in contract administration, customer engagement, market monitoring, and regulatory compliance. You'll work closely with teams across Gas Markets and Zinfra to help minimise outages and enhance asset performance, while identifying opportunities to grow revenue and maintain clear, insightful reporting.

This role offers opportunities to lead account management, negotiate and administer commercial contracts, and contribute to new business development. You'll help shape financial models, prepare business cases, and support board submissions for major capital investments.

You'll also travel regularly to Queensland to connect with customers, field teams, and industry groups, and represent us at forums and events like the Wallumbilla Gas Supply Hub and NGERAC.

A little about you

  • Proven ability to explore market trends and translate insights into meaningful outcomes.
  • Successful commercial experience across Gas Markets and Assets; through contract management, market insights, and strategic optimisation.
  • Skilled in working with contracts, including negotiation, interpretation, and administration.
  • Experienced in building trusted customer relationships and navigating challenging conversations with care.
  • Familiar with energy markets and their dynamics.
  • Comfortable with financial analysis and preparing clear, supportive reporting.
  • Confident in engaging with senior leaders and fostering positive stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications / certifications & Skills

  • Degree-level qualification in law, commerce, marketing or a related field, or demonstrated minimum three years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of gas market contractual terms and concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
