We are currently looking for two types of Support Workers:

• Support Workers wanting to work for a provider who is well established and professional – aiming to protect, support and develop both participants & staff;
• Support Workers who are available to work a variety of work hours, including afternoons, evenings, sleepovers and active overnights in both Hervey Bay & Maryborough.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Your days will be filled with excitement and diversity as you play a crucial role in enhancing people's lives, providing them with essential support and assistance. This may include:

• Assisting Participants in improving their independent living skills
• Supporting participants with communication and social skills.
• Community engagement, such as attending appointments, grocery shopping or other social or recreational activities of their choice
• Provide guidance and assistance in domestic responsibilities including meal preparation and light household cleaning.
• Assisting with administering and accurately recording medication, as required.
• Providing support with personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing and more.
• Completing written reports in alignment with Life Choice policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Essential:

• Ability to work flexibly across a 7-day roster in both Maryborough & Hervey Bay.
• Passionate about providing client centered individual support
• Authentic passion for assisting others in reaching their life goals
• Current Qld Driver's License

Hold or be willing to obtain (essential):

• Current First Aid and CPR certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card)
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Criminal History Check

Beneficial:

• Willingness to work evenings including sleepovers and/or active overnights.
• Prior experience supporting someone with a disability
• Experience working with behaviors and following PBSP's
• Experience attending to personal cares
• Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support or equivalent qualification (or working towards)

This position comes with a competitive salary package, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer the opportunity to salary sacrifice, allowing you to reduce your taxable income by up to $18,550 per year.
