About The Job

We're on the lookout for a hands-on Tech Project Manager to join a Digital Banking team in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.

You will be embedded in and running two Agile delivery squads, working closely to deliver a steady flow of digital features from multiple business lines.

This is a permanent role with a flexible hybrid working arrangement - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and run two Agile squads using the Scrum framework with time-boxed sprints
  • Plan and manage team velocity to deliver consistent outcomes
  • Support onboarding and ramping up of new team members, ensuring smooth integration
  • Drive collaboration and effectiveness within remote and distributed teams
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members including BAs, Developers, and QA to unblock delivery issues
  • Be embedded in the squads, actively supporting junior and mid-level team members to build delivery capability

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a Project Manager or Scrum Master role with proven experience being embedded in a squad(s)
  • Experience operating in Scrum-based teams with time-boxed sprints and velocity planning
  • Strong communication skills with a proven approach to making remote teams work effectively
  • Comfortable with technical details and confident discussing mobile and browser app stacks (no prior banking or financial services experience required)
  • A background in BA, QA, or Testing is valued, providing a solid foundation in the software delivery lifecycle and a deep understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Willingness to work from our office 3 days a week, ideally commuting from the south of the river or nearby
