Demi Chef

We're looking for a Demi Chef who'll support all kitchen activities and prepare our delicious food across an Al a Carte offering - helping create memorable experiences for guests - whenever and wherever they dine. You'll ensure quality, kitchen maintenance, and inventory functions are kept to our high standards - to make sure your kitchen is always running smoothly.

You'll prepare various dishes catering mainly in our Riverside Kitchen Breakfast. Your passion for presentation and dedication to delivering flavour will complete each guest's experience. By taking pride in your workspace, with an emphasis on maintaining hygienic standards & consistency, and giving our menu the benefit of your expertise, you'll create some of our guests' most lasting memories
 

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

• Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds creating Al a Carte dining options
• Taking ownership for your workstation – keeping on top of supplies, equipment and waste
• Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback - recognise good performance
• Being cleaner than clean to meet or exceed HACCP requirements
• Helping with washing up and other kitchen duties where needed
• Taking on other ad-hoc duties like a true team player

What We need from you:

• Experience in a busy alacarte dining environment is preffered 
• Right to legally work full time in Australia 
• Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts from a registered training provider
• Must hold a current Safe Food Handling Certification
• Articulate – a great communicator, you'll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
• Flexibility – night, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
• Team player with a collaborative approach to work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload
