We are looking for an Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our team.

The purpose of this role is to provide financial management and meaningful reporting for the Motorserve Group. This includes financial policy and process, internal controls and systems and support of the transactional process functions.

What you will be doing:
Accountant

  • Co-ordinating the general ledger including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, profit and loss and banking.
  • Variance analysis of the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet trend and making corrections where needed.
  • Completion of the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Assisting in the year end audit process .
  • Support the transaction processing teams providing guidance and education to all team members.
Financial Analysis
  • Review monthly results of stores and generate relevant business insights after month end close in order to help stores improve performance.
  • Weekly tracking of stores performance and forecasting end of month results of stores.
  • Facilitate head office reporting on periodic basis.
  • Model business case and scenario analysis.
  • Budget preparation assistance
  • Verify the integrity of the datasets. Ensure any abnormalities are investigated and corrected if necessary.
What you will need to bring to the role:
  • Qualified with a Bachelor of Business / Commerce / Finance, and studying your CA/CPA qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar analytical role or currently working in an accounting role with a keen interest in analytics.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills experience.
  • An ability to meet stringent reporting deadlines while working independently to complete assigned tasks.
