About the role

As the Fleet Sales Manager at Mike Carney Toyota, you will be responsible for building and leading a highly successful fleet sales team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the company's strategic goals by developing and executing effective sales strategies to grow the fleet business and enhance customer relationships. The position is based in Townsville and is a full-time opportunity.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement targeted fleet sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share
  • Manage and motivate a high-performing fleet sales team, providing coaching, training and support to ensure they achieve their sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key fleet customers, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, and adjust sales plans accordingly
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts to senior management
  • Participate in trade shows, networking events and other marketing initiatives to promote the company's fleet services

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience in fleet sales or a related sales management role, preferably within the automotive industry
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a successful sales team to exceed targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering tailored solutions
  • Proficient in using sales data and analytics to drive informed decision-making
  • Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is preferred
