Primary objective
Coordinate Wide Area Network (WAN) services, including monitoring and reporting activities to contribute to continuous process
improvement, stakeholder management and communications, and processing of associated cost recovery billing.
Context statement
ICT Services provides ICT hardware and software services to client agencies to meet business requirements, this includes end user services
such as the ICT Service Centre, End User Computing, Network Management, Voice and Telecommunications including internet. Within the
Service Management unit, the ICT Cost Recovery team is responsible for managing the cost recovery model and overseeing the billing
processes for various ICT services.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Prepare and contribute to WAN documentation and practices, provide advice and support in relation to WAN workflows and
processes.
- Continuously monitor WAN service providers' contractual commitments, and the identification of discrepancies in relation to billing
and financial management.
3. Monitor the progress of, and provide support to, associated projects to ensure the development and implementation of WAN related
activities aligns to policy and Agency digital strategies.
- Build and sustain productive stakeholder relationships with client agencies and service providers in relation to the provision of Wide
Area Network services and billing.
- Continually assess WAN related policies and processes for improvements to create efficiencies and streamline operational and billing
practices, preparing reports and collating data as required.
6. Actively participate and contribute to the team, sustaining collaborative relationships across the broader ICT Services division.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proficiency in the use of office automation software, spreadsheets, databases, and report generation tools.
2. Well-developed analytical, research and interpretative skills to develop practical and innovative solutions, with demonstrated ability
in collation and interpretation of data.
3. Demonstrated understanding of ICT terminology, Contract Compliance and delivery of services within a centralised billing model.
4. High level of written skills with the ability to prepare and maintain comprehensive and succinct documentation, including financial
reports, with attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills to work both autonomously and effectively within a
team and with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed organisational skills and integrity with demonstrated ability to confidently use sound judgement, initiative and
problem-solving skills and be systematic in dealing with a range of activities concurrently.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of Commitment to Service, Innovation, Ethical Practice,

Desirable
1. Knowledge of relevant NTG legislation, including Financial Management Act, Procurement Act, and related policies, and directions.
2. Qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as ICT, project, finance or contract administration.
