The Opportunity

Are you looking to apply your skills and/or learn skills that will provide you with a secure and stable career? If so, we are currently seeking workshop operators in a rare opportunity to learn a specialised trade and provide future job security and long-term employment with a stable, reputable company for the right candidates.

You will gain exposure to different areas of saw-doctoring, sharpening and bandsaw manufacture.

On the job training will be provided in all aspects of the role as required, working alongside experienced staff.

No experience is necessary as long as you have a technical/mechanical aptitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. A strong work ethic and positive attitude are most important. Must be able to communicate effectively and understand instructions in English language.

  • Physically fit as some manual handling is required
  • Attention to detail, taking pride in your work, be reliable and committed.
  • Be well organized with excellent time management
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Must have the ability to work successfully both independently and with other team members
  • Communicate effectively across the business
