EOI for Junior School French and Japanese Teacher

Girton Grammar School is seeking engaging and passionate teachers of Japanese and French to join our Junior School team. This is a part-time and / or casual teaching position starting in January 2026.
The primary responsibility of this role is to teach Japanese and/or French to Junior School students, inspiring a love of language and culture from an early age. The successful applicant will create a dynamic and supportive classroom environment, fostering communication skills, cultural understanding, and enthusiasm for language learning.
At Girton Grammar, Language Teachers play a key role in delivering a rigorous, evidence-informed curriculum grounded in best practices for early language acquisition. This role requires a commitment to explicit, engaging instruction and a collaborative approach to curriculum development.

Key Selection Criteria / Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Appropriate qualification and current registration as a teacher,
- Passion for teaching Japanese and/or French to young learners, with proven ability to design and deliver outstanding language programs.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, best practices in early language education.
- Demonstrated effective delivery of teaching and learning programs,
- A commitment to professional development,
- Excellent personal communication, administrative and organisational skills,
- Commitment to student wellbeing and child safety, demonstrating an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children, including children with diverse needs and backgrounds,
- Strong skills in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), especially as they relate to teaching and learning,
- Commitment to co-curricular activities.
