The Opportunity:

Based at our Talloman location in Hazelmere, this role responsible for quality monitoring and testing, environmental monitoring, and laboratory testing. The Officer will be involved in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to quality and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring quality standards are adhered to
• Conducting external and internal supplier audit
• General cleaning of the laboratory and wastewater plant will be required as part of the job
• Testing the products and communicate quality reports to the Talloman leadership team
• Daily operation of the wastewater (BNR) treatment plant including sampling and testing
• Maintain knowledge of Environmental Licence operating requirements relevant to production
• Complete daily environmental checks and report non-compliances immediately
• Ensure employees are aware of and complying with environmental requirements

The successful applicant will possess:

• Relevant tertiary qualification or experience, I.e. BSc Food Technology or similar
• At least 2-3 years' experience with Quality or Environmental Management Systems in a food, grain or similar industry
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of self-motivation
• Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
