PLT Work Experience Placement
A unique opportunity has arisen at Genesis Edge Law Group for a PLT candidate to gain access to a dynamic real-world learning environment in the firm's fast-growing Family Law and Litigation team.

Skills
This placement is conveniently located in the heart of Sydney's CBD and will provide the successful applicant with a strong base to develop their skills across all aspects of the industry. The successful applicant will engage in active learning by assisting the Principal Solicitor and Solicitors in the following areas:

  • Client enquiry, intake file management, legal research and general office duties;
  • Court hearing preparation and drafting legal documents;
  • The opportunity to be involved in client interviews and instruction gathering;
  • Exposure to different areas of law also conducted by the firm.
  • The Placement will suit a law student/ graduate who has undertaken initial placements and is ready to step up to the next level in their practical learning. To be successful in this placement, the successful applicant will need an ability to learn processes and procedures; a commitment to excellence in a practical learning environment; strong work ethic with an ability to work to deadlines.

Genesis Edge Law Group works closely with clients from the Australian, Chinese, Korean and Italian communities. Whilst not essential, candidates who can speak a second language and have diverse cultural knowledge are encouraged to apply.
