About the Opportunity

As the Planner for Austal Defence Australia the planner will support project design, production execution, and program delivery by developing and maintaining accurate and compliant plans, schedules, and work orders. Reporting to the Planning and Scheduling Manager within the Enterprise Program Management Office, the role ensures work orders are correctly created, updated, and closed out in line with established planning standards and ASDEFCON programmatic requirements.

What's Involved

  • Develop and structure new work orders in the ERP system based on defined scope, schedule activities, and CWBS alignment
  • Monitor active work orders to ensure ongoing accuracy, updating details when engineering changes or drawing revisions occur
  • Confirm all work steps are complete and accurate status in IFS prior to close out
  • Support integration between Primavera P6 schedules and IFS work order data to ensure consistency of scope, coding and progress
  • Liaise closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and ILS to coordinate readiness and resolve work order conflicts

You'll Need 

  • 12+ months experience in project planning or work order management
  • Strong understanding of work order creation, maintenance and closeout processes within ERP systems
  • Ability to interpret and align drawings, scope, and configuration data to support accurate planning and progress tracking
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
