ABOUT THE ROLE
Grid Electrics Group is deploying multiple large-scale commercial solar installs across Melbourne and regional VIC. We need a CEC Accredited Electrician who can lead from the front — not just sign off, but show up and execute.

This isn't resi work. You'll be working on systems from 30kW to 500kW , on schools, warehouses, and government sites. You'll be part of a strike team built for results. We don't need clipboard holders — we need electrical tacticians.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and execute commercial solar installations
• Terminate and test all AC & DC wiring
• Install and commission inverters, switchboards, protection gear
• Ensure AS/NZS 3000, 5033, and CEC standards are met
• Lead/mentor apprentices & support labour on-site
• Work closely with project manager and site foreman
• Sign off and submit CEC compliance documents

REQUIREMENTS

• CEC Grid-Connect Accreditation (Battery a bonus)
• A-Grade Electrical Licence (VIC)
• 2 Years commercial solar or large-scale electrical experience
• White Card, Working at Heights, EWP (or willing to obtain)
• Can read plans, run jobs, and problem-solve without hand-holding
• Full driver's license and own basic tools
• Bonus if you've worked with Fronius, SMA, GoodWe, SolarEdge, or Sungrow

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 – $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

• Overtime pay

Experience:

• commercial solar: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driver Licence (Preferred)
