The Role:

Following an internal promotion, a great opportunity has opened for an experienced Distribution Manager to join and lead our Distribution team based at our Dandenong South Bakery.

Reporting to the National Distribution Manager, the Distribution Manager VIC will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring end-to-end activities required for efficient distribution of ARYZTA products across the state. In this key role you will drive operational excellence, lead a high-performing team, and ensure our logistics infrastructure continues to meet the evolving needs of our customers—safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Lead all daily distribution operations across VIC, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries.
• Develop and optimise routing systems, fleet utilisation, and delivery strategies to ensure efficient, high-quality service.
• Foster a positive team culture, drive employee engagement, and develop a skilled and motivated distribution team.
• Identify and prioritise logistics needs, making data-driven recommendations to support operational improvement.
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Continuously review and refine operational processes to improve safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage distribution costs and resources effectively to meet financial and performance targets.
• Ensure full compliance with, and champion, ARYZTA's Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and uphold ARYZTA's core values of Integrity, Ownership, Customer Focus, Creativity & Care.

About You:

We are seeking a results-driven leader with a focus on people and a passion for logistics and distribution, who thrives in a dynamic environment where quality and customer satisfaction are paramount.

To be successful in the role you will bring:

• 3+ years' experience in logistics & distribution management ideally in a complex food/FMCG or relevant industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, support multiple projects and allocate resources effectively.
• Great customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong people management capability, and demonstrated experience in leading and building teams, fostering a positive team culture.
• The ability to make sound decisions under pressure, adapt to various situations while working effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in MS Office and ability to rapidly learn new systems.
• Great communications skills, with ability to adjust to wide audiences.
