About The Role
The roles are responsible for assessing residential applications and will also see you providing advice into planning, development, property and land use matters, ensuring the efficient implementation of land use policy and compliance with Council's local laws and policies.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To succeed in this role, you should be able to:
- Assess development and planning applications, including site visits, within deadlines.
- Offer professional statutory planning advice to customers and industry contacts.
- Manage development proposals to ensure proper consultation and outcomes.
- Prepare assessment reports under delegated authority or for the planning panel, and attend meetings as needed.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Other Important Information
- The commencing salary for this position is up to $1,858.74 per week. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $2,234.39 per week on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
- We have a temporary full-time position 6 months
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
