The Role

We have several upcoming casual and ongoing Emergency Services Officer (ESO) and Medical Emergency Services Officer (MESO) positions. As part of our client's site emergency response team, you will respond to all emergency and non-emergency patient situations and callouts to provide timely and effective patient care.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Cert IV Healthcare (Ambulance) or higher (for MESO role)
  • Cert III in Mines Emergency Response & Rescue (RII30715) including the following units:
  • Undertake confined space rescue (PUASAR025)
  • Undertake vertical rescue (PUASAR032)
  • Drive Vehicle Under Operational Conditions (PUAVEH001)
  • Certificate to Collect Specimens for Drug and Alcohol Testing (HLTPAT005)
  • Heavy Rigid (HR) or Medium Rigid (MR) drivers' licence
  • Provide First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011)
  • Operate and maintain 4WD
  • National Police Clearance certificate (current to within 6 months of appointment)
  • Be physically fit enough to perform the role

About You

  • Provide high level emergency rescue services
  • 2 years experience as an ESO or MESO preferred
  • Adhere to medical protocols and procedures as well as legislative requirements
  • Actively support the team in daily duties
  • Highly organised with an ability to work independently
  • Experience as a Volunteer ERT team member, firefighter of ambulance officer highly regarded
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
