A participant from our shared management services is currently seeking a reliable, personable, and motivated support worker to join an independently hired small team assisting a 67 year old gentleman with Motor Neuron Disease in the Canning Vale area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support his independence, lifestyle, and wellbeing, both at home and in the community.

About the Role:

You'll be working alongside his wife, nurses, other support staff and service providers to ensure that he receives the highest standard of care and support in the following areas:

  • Ventilator Monitoring

  • Tracheotomy Care including suctioning and cough assist

  • Personal Hygiene

  • PEG Feeding

  • Manual Handling and Transfers

  • Assistance with household tasks

  • Maintaining detailed records

  • Review and replenish stock

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with initiative, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in building a long-term, supportive, and respectful working relationship.

Key Details:

  • Approximately 20 to 35 hours per week, based on your availability.

  • A variety of shifts are currently available across weekdays and weekends.

Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module: 'Quality, Safety and You' Certificate

  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance

  • Current driver's license

  • Experience with Tracheotomy and Peg Care

  • Manual Handling Certificate
