HSE Advisor

MACS Australia Group is a well-established Western Australian company, delivering high-quality construction and building services to clients across the municipal, commercial, industrial, and resources sectors since 1974.

We are currently seeking an HSE Advisor to join our team based in Canning Vale, supporting operations across multiple projects and divisions. This full-time position offers a family friendly roster, with monthly overnight site visits to our regional projects.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, the HSE Advisor plays a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, and mentoring HSE personnel across the business.

• Provide expert HSE support, advice, and leadership to management and site teams across the company.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and Safe Act Observations across operational areas.
• Manage and improve HSE systems, documentation, and compliance processes.
• Liaise with subcontractors, employees, and clients to ensure alignment with safety expectations.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts, training sessions, and facilitate safety committee meetings.
• Report on HSE performance, KPIs, and support internal auditing of ISO systems.
• Support injury management, workers' compensation cases, and return-to-work coordination.

• Nationally Recognised WHS Certification
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an HSE role within the construction, civil, or mining sectors.
• Demonstrated understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and auditing practices.
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Current Australian driver's licence and ability to undertake regional travel.
• Current first aid or willingness to gain.
• An interest in gaining qualifications in: Internal and External Auditing qualifications, Workplace Training and Assessing.
