Lead, mentor and inspire We're seeking a passionate Educational Leader to shape quality learning and empower our team at NSOA Early Learning & OOSH.

Employment Status: Part-time or Full-time (negotiable)

Classification: As per Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2010 or Children's Services Award 2010

Pay Rate: Educational Leader Allowance applies

Reporting To: The Director

Supervising: NSOA Early Childhood Teachers & Educators

Position Purpose

The Educational Leader is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and reflective review of the educational program across the NSOA Early Learning and OOSH Centre. This role supports the team to deliver inclusive, culturally responsive, and high-quality early childhood education and care in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework (V2.0), My Time Our Place (V2.0), the National Quality Framework, and the Centre's philosophy. The Educational Leader plays a key role in fostering a culture of inquiry, critical reflection, and continuous improvement among the educators.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications


• Degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA) or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).


• Current Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification.


• Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training.


• Accredited Child Protection Training.


• Valid Working with Children Check.

Experience Requirements


• Minimum 5 years' experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting


• Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading teams of Educators.

Knowledge Requirements


• Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time Our Place Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018)


• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NSW Children's Services Regulations, Child Protection legislation and associated practices.

Skill Requirements


• Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.


• Demonstrated professional level of written and verbal communication skills.


• Demonstrated high level of computer literacy.
