About the Role

The Physiotherapist (TCP) plays a vital role in evaluating patients' physical function, developing tailored treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to restore, maintain, and enhance independence.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, empower patients and families with education and self-care strategies, and promote overall health and wellness in a culturally safe environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical function (mobility, strength, coordination, balance).
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based techniques (exercise programs, manual therapy, hydrotherapy).
  • Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and provide ongoing encouragement.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals (occupational therapists, rehabilitation staff, Aboriginal Health Workers).
  • Provide education to patients and families on recovery, prevention, and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Ensure ethical, professional, and culturally respectful care.

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • WA Driver's Licence.
  • National Police Clearance (within 3 months).
  • Vulnerable People's Check.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.
  • Australian citizenship required for this position.

Skills & Attributes
  • Experience working with First Nations people.
  • Previous experience working with First Nations people is an essential requirement for this role.
  • Prior clinical experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years clinical physiotherapy experience required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and trauma-informed practice.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in record management, data collection, and reporting.
