The Holman Barnes Group - Wests Ashfield Leagues Club

Holman Barnes Group is an established and progressive organisation known for its hospitality, entertainment, and commitment to excellence. With multiple thriving Registered Clubs (Wests Ashfield Leagues Club, Croydon Sports Club, The Markets Club at Homebush West) we foster a positive, collaborative, and energetic work environment that values professionalism and innovation.

We're looking for a motivated Technical Analyst (Network, Systems and Security) to design, implement, and secure the Club's IT infrastructure: networks, systems, and security platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance with cyber security standards. The role supports business growth, digital transformation, and provides technical expertise to stakeholders and end users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support projects to upgrade or enhance network and system performance.

Cyber Security

  • Monitor security events and respond to incidents in line with frameworks (Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Assist with vulnerability management and patching activities.
  • Work with the Head of IT on security projects and risk mitigation.

Cloud & Transformation

  • Provide day-to-day support for cloud platforms and contribute to migration activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation (network diagrams, runbooks, DR plans).

Communication & Customer Service

  • Act as the first technical point of contact for escalations, translating complex issues into clear advice.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to internal teams and vendors.
  • Escalate complex issues to the Head of IT when needed.

Team & Culture

  • Balance BAU responsibilities with project contributions.
  • Share knowledge, collaborate with peers, and support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain professional presentation and personal grooming in line with Club standards.

Key Requirements

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and cyber threats.
  • Demonstrate commitment to privacy, compliance, and governance standards.
  • Ability to work across multiple Club venues and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Current driver's licence (desirable).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in Networking, Cyber Security, and/or Cloud Platforms.
