About The Role
Tweed Valley Hospital is seeking a qualified Lymphoedema Therapist (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) to provide specialist outpatient early intervention lymphoedema therapy and related services for eligible clients of the Northern New South Wales Local Health District.

The Early Intervention and Prevention of Chronic Lymphoedema model of care is for patients who have undergone surgical removal of lymph nodes to treat breast cancer. This includes the surveillance, detection, and treatment of the early stages of lymphoedema.

The Early Intervention and Prevention of Chronic Lymphoedema Pilot provides the usual post-breast surgery care for musculoskeletal support and cording management, as well as surveillance, detection and treatment of early stage (sub-clinical) lymphoedema, which has been shown to reduce the progression to chronic lymphoedema.
