We are seeking for Senior Automation and Virtualization Specialist will be responsible for managing and developing the Department's Aria Automation, NSX, Aria Operations and Site Recovery Manager instances as part of the Infrastructure Platforms team.

Contract : 12 months

Canberra Onsite

About the Role

The person will be also accountable for maintaining and enhancing the Department's VMware vSphere, Cloud Foundation environments and server infrastructure (rack mounted and blade servers). The role requires producing design documents, build documents, operations documents, handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing the Department's Aria Automation, NSX, Aria Operations and Site Recovery Manager instances.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Department's VMware vSphere, Cloud Foundation environments and server infrastructure.
  • Producing design documents, build documents, operations documents.
  • Handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members.
  • Mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in few of the following technologies:

  • Aria Automation.
  • Aria Orchestrator.
  • VMware NSX.
  • Aria Operations.
  • Site Recovery Manager.
  • VMware vSphere and Cloud Foundation.

Required Skills

Demonstrated scripting and coding experience in few of the following:

  • PowerShell.
  • PowerCLI.
  • YAML.
  • JavaScript.
  • Ability to produce design, build and operations documents for processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills to work with skilled technical people, including making presentations to staff and stakeholders and coaching staff.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in administering Veeam Backup and Replication.
