*AS A SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST*
Your main focus is to understand the customer and business needs, analyse and document requirements and communicate these to the architects, developers and testers and work with them to build solutions that achieve SGF's goals and deliver the best business outcomes.

The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Lead engagement with Product Owners and business SMEs to understand and analyse customer needs and business drivers. Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritise and shape the product backlog using best practices for prioritisation.
• Lead requirements elicitation with key stakeholders to ensure that business owners and project team members have a shared understanding of scope and actual needs. Lead the identification of project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Lead the breakdown of complex business problems into epics, features and user stories with meaningful acceptance criteria and other supporting artefacts. Coordinate with the project team to develop a feasible and viable solution design. This includes running sprint ceremonies (huddles, retro's, backlog refinement, sprint planning) where applicable.
• Identify, recommend, and implement improvements and efficiencies across key business systems by analysing the current state and determining the optimal future state.
• Develop and update process maps for business processes being introduced and changed.
• Mentor Business Analysts and champion best practice methods where applicable. Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and orientation of new Business Analysts' where applicable. Share knowledge and contribute to the Business Analysis community of practice.
• Lead discovery and inception workshops.

• Extensive experience as a business analyst.
• Experience in managing and negotiating with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment.
• Experience with IT applications and software delivery projects.
• Experience dealing with multiple systems integrations.
• Experience with designing and implementing processes across multi-functional areas.
• Advanced experience in managing external and internal stakeholders with the ability to engage, collaborate and influence.
• Advanced documentation, planning and organising skills.
• Knowledge and experience using industry recognised solution delivery methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
