About the business

TUCO is Australia's fastest growing Freight Management Company located in Mulgrave. In response to our substantial growth and an internal promotion, we seek a dedicated Billing Officer. We are in search of an individual who is self-driven, enthusiastic, and possesses strong analytical skills to contribute to our team. The primary responsibility will involve efficiently processing carriers' invoices within our advanced paperless system.

About the role

  • Timely and accurate reconciliation of carrier invoices
  • Pro-active communication and analysing carrier invoices to highlight discrepancies to relevant departments
  • Utilizing Excel, our Accounting programs and CRM to complete billing tasks
  • Responding to customer billing queries to ensure a prompt resolution
  • Communicating with carriers as required in regards to billing discrepancies
  • Support of the broader Billing and Accounts functions as required
  • Lodge and follow up claims with Claim Manager and carriers directly

Skills and experience

  • Previous Experience in Billings or Accounts
  • Experience in transport preferred but not essential for the right candidate
  • MS Office (Intermediate – Advanced Excel)
  • Proven ability to analyse and think critically to resolve issues
  • Able to work independently but also within your team
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, clients and carriers
