The Role

We have an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our Managed Services Practice at Quorum, based in Sydney, Brisbane,
OR
Melbourne.

As a Systems Engineer - Managed Services, you will provide day-to-day support for a variety of customer environments, resolving incidents, fulfilling service requests, and assisting with changes to ensure systems remain secure, stable, and aligned to best practice.

You will work as part of the Managed Services team alongside Service Desk Analysts, Senior Systems Engineers, and Technical Consultants. The role provides exposure to a broad range of Microsoft cloud and infrastructure technologies, with the opportunity to rapidly develop your technical capability and progress to the next stage of your career.

What are we looking for

We're looking for a L2 Systems Engineer with experience supporting Microsoft-based environments in a managed services setting. You'll require a strong foundation of exposure across multiple customer environments and be comfortable resolving incidents, fulfilling service requests, and assisting with changes to keep systems secure, stable, and well-documented.

Communication and customer service are critical in this role. You'll need to be able to engage confidently with end users, explain technical issues in clear terms, and work effectively with colleagues to deliver consistent outcomes. Strong troubleshooting ability and an organised, process-driven approach will help you stay on top of competing tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

This position suits someone who is dependable, adaptable, and focused on delivering quality technical support for managed clients. You'll bring a professional, solutions-focused mindset and contribute positively as part of Quorum's Managed Services team.

As a Managed Microsoft Partner, Quorum provides Systems Engineers with exposure to true enterprise-level, cloud-first environments across a wide range of managed clients. Role Requirements

Experience and Expertise
– Experience providing technical support within a Microsoft managed services environment, with exposure to multiple customer systems. Our Systems Engineers require the ability to manage incidents, service requests, and day-to-day changes with consistency and professionalism.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, SharePoint Online), Active Directory, Windows Server and Windows 10/11.
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Experience with backup and recovery tools such as Veeam or Azure Backup is highly regarded.

Customer Support
– We need someone who is customer-obsessed, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, the ability to resolve issues effectively and explain technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical users.

Emotional Intelligence and Collaboration

– A process-driven mindset with the ability to follow agreed procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure customer environments remain aligned to best practice.
