Description:
About the Role
As our Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing complex tenders, and building long-term client partnerships. You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions that drive sustainable revenue growth and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Safety First: Ensure personal and team safety in accordance with IPA Group's Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards
Identify and pursue new business leads across national infrastructure markets
Build and maintain a pipeline of civil, electrical, and infrastructure-based projects
Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tender submissions
Represent IPA at industry events, site meetings, and client briefings
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery
Report on sales forecasts, market trends, and competitor activity
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance
About You
Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within industrial or infrastructure sectors
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results
Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making skills
Solid understanding of plastics manufacturing (roto/injection moulding) and mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret product drawings
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM systems (Epicor/Salesforce preferred)
Tertiary qualifications in Business or related discipline (MBA preferred but not essential)
Valid working rights in Australia and valid Australian driver's license
