Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources.

Role Details:

We're seeking an experienced Grader Operator to join our Surface Mining team at our owner-operated St Ives Gold Mine.

Reporting to the Supervisor: Surface Production, you will deliver quality, timely grading services to support the safe haulage of ore and waste rock.

This role is a residential role based in Kalgoorlie or Kambalda, working on a 4 days on, 4 nights on, 6 days off roster. A daily bus service is provided to and from site.

About the role:

  • Cut and fill to levels, maintain clean, smooth road surfaces and form drainage to prevent ponding
  • Collaborate with the mining team to achieve production goals efficiently
  • Support budgeted maintenance targets by operating equipment carefully, conducting scheduled inspections, servicing, troubleshooting and coordinating timely repairs
  • Help develop the team's skills by providing training and mentoring to operators

About you:

  • Previous experience operating a grader (16H) in surface mining operations, with a strong safety record
  • Consistent and reliable in performing repetitive tasks to a high standard
  • Hold a current HR Driver's license.
