The Star Brisbane is Australia's newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre. This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

Reporting to our Resort Audio Visual Supervisors this role will see you responsible for the AV production and customer service across The Star Brisbane property. The role offers a hands-on experience with class leading AV technology and significant onsite training in audio, video, and lighting systems. Our AV technicians will play a crucial part in the delivery of Events and Entertainment across the property and the maintenance of all AV assets.

A few of your responsibilities

• Install and support AV production requirements (audio, video and lighting) for all internal and external events
• Set up and install AV production requirements for all entertainment (DJ's, Duo's, Bands) on property
• Support property wide audio over IP system for background music and microphone announcements
• Manage all LED screen assets
• Complete maintenance, servicing and replacement of all AV systems on site as required

What we will be looking for

• Prior experience working in corporate or event AV environments (desirable but not required)
• Prior experience setting up or operating audio, video or lighting systems (desirable but not required)
• Capacity to work a variety of hours over a 24/7 rotating roster
• High level of communication skills

About us

The $3.6 billion Queen's Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.
