Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mine Planning Engineer, based in Perth, WA with some work-from-home flexibility. The Mine Planning Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing mining plans, conducting technical evaluations, and optimizing production processes. Daily tasks will include collaborating with geologists, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure efficient and safe mining operations. The role also involves conducting feasibility studies, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in mine planning, design, and production optimization
  • Technical skills in conducting feasibility studies and preparing detailed reports
  • Proficiency in mining software and tools (e.g., MineScape, Surpac, Datamine)
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with geologists, surveyors, and other engineers
  • Understanding of environmental and safety regulations in the mining industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
