Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship – Kick-Start Your Career

Are you a hands-on, motivated young person ready to build a career in the automotive industry? We're looking for enthusiastic apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our growing team

What You'll Be Doing

As an apprentice, you'll learn from qualified technicians and gain real-world experience working on a wide range of trucks, earthmoving equipment, and heavy transport vehicles. You'll be involved in:

  • Servicing, diagnosing, and repairing heavy vehicles
  • Learning industry-standard tools, equipment, and workshop processes
  • Supporting senior mechanics across different work sites
  • Following workplace safety procedures and contributing to a positive team environment

What We're Looking For

We want someone who is:

  • Keen to learn and ready to commit to a full apprenticeship
  • Looking to start a long-term career in heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Holding a manual driver's licence (required)
  • Able to travel between work sites — own vehicle essential
  • Reliable, punctual, and shows pride in their work

Bonus points for:

  • Completion of Certificate II in Automotive
  • Any hands-on mechanical or industry experience (school-based, hobby, or work experience)
