Key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing contractor bids to ensure value for money for clients
  • Preparing estimates and cost plans for major developments
  • Evaluating cost plans and project scopes to identify and address gaps
  • Maintaining and updating a library of current local rates
  • Optimising project costs against budget through cost reviews, value engineering, and accurate estimates
  • Providing estimating expertise throughout design and construction stages
  • Building credibility with stakeholders including clients, contractors, and consultants
  • Supporting project management with clear documentation and timely communication
