The successful applicant will have:

• At least 3+ years accounting experience in a multi-partner firm.
• Completed your CA/CPA journey or nearing completion.
• Have experience with compliance for businesses and family groups, including:
• Preparation of interim and year-end financial accounts
• Preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals & Companies
• Preparation of quarterly BAS Statements.
• Exposure to consulting/advisory services such as budget preparation, management reporting and external CFO services.
• Knowledge of tax issues that arise in private groups, including Division 7A and sub trust arrangements.
• Full Working Rights in Australia.
• Living and working in Melbourne.

Experience with the following software platforms or similar would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided:

• FYI Docs
• Business Fitness Smart Workpapers/Active Workpapers
• Xero - PGP Consulting is a Xero Platinum Partner
• Xero Practice Manager (XPM)
• Xero Tax
• BGL Systems (CAS360)

This position would ideally suit someone with mid-tier firm experience or have had experience in a multi-partner firm but looking to move into a role where they have scope to get more involved with their client's business and really add value at an operational level.

The candidate will be someone who wants to be part of a small, but high performing team where they will be a valued and an integral contributor to their firm's success. The role is suited to someone who is looking to do more than just compliance and wants to embrace the role of 'trusted advisor'. Someone who would like to gain exposure to a myriad of accounting and advisory functions across a range of clients.
