The role
Reporting to the Senior Rail Safety Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day safety performance of the Networks and drive improvements in the safety culture. Supporting our key stakeholders there will be a focus on delivering practical, informed and timely safety advice, supporting safe decision making across the business. This will include leading and coordinating investigations, being proactive in response to any incidents and providing safety-expertise across the organisation. As the subject matter expert, you will be across our safety management system ensuring ongoing compliance with appliable legislation and regulatory requirements.

What You Bring
In addition to relevant tertiary qualifications (WHS or related), your background will include extensive experience in auditing and leading complex investigations, using a wide spectrum of investigation methods and techniques. Given the nature of the role you will have a strong understanding of the Work Health and Safety and Rail Safety legislation and monitoring Safety Management Systems. You will require strong communication skills (both written & verbal) and the ability to provide in-depth analysis and meaningful reporting.
