The Opportunity

We are currently looking to recruit a hands-on Production Manager to join our supportive team based in Erskine Park. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will lead the Production teams, driving efficiency, optimising processes, and ensuring the highest quality standards. If you have a strong background in lean manufacturing and a passion for operational excellence, we invite you to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment to work with a market leading company covering a wide variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Promote and champion a culture of safety, quality, sustainability and Operational Excellence.
  • Deliver against the balanced scorecard – improving productivity, OEE, COGS, service (OTIF) and Quality.
  • Support and develop team members to achieve goals and build a self-driven, empowered culture.
  • Address issues with thoughtful problem-solving and a focus on positive outcomes.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to enhance processes and performance.
  • Promote best practices through a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Lead and inspire three production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Ensuring sufficient resources are available to accurately match resources to tasks, in an environment of fluctuating demand;
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager and work in a safe and efficient manner. Your experience with lean manufacturing initiatives, along with your enthusiastic approach will drive change and a culture of continuous improvement. You will ideally have:

  • Proven track record of management experience in a similar manufacturing role
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business or engineering related discipline
  • A strong commitment to safety and proven experience leading a safety culture
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proven experience leading and implementing continuous business improvements
  • Proven experience in Lean manufacturing
