Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Materials Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP, managing large projects, and a strong background in the oil and gas industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient procurement, management, and distribution of materials necessary for our large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all material-related activities for large projects within the oil and gas sector.
  • Utilise SAP to maintain accurate records of material inventories, procurement orders, and material movements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement material management strategies to optimise costs and enhance project efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies regarding material handling and safety.
  • Resolve any material-related issues that may arise during project execution.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of material coordinators and support staff.

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications in Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in material management within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficient in SAP with hands-on experience in material management modules.
  • Demonstrated experience managing materials for large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in supply chain management or project management.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
