About the Role

Are you a passionate and strategic communicator looking to make a real impact?

Sandfire is seeking an experienced and dynamic Communications Lead to join our Corporate Affairs team in its Perth Corporate office. This is a 12 months maternity leave contract. In this key role, you will help shape and drive both internal and external communications that align with Sandfire's values, brand, and corporate strategy.

As Communications Lead, you will work closely with stakeholders across our business and Assets to deliver clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across a variety of platforms. From corporate reports and external events to social media and internal campaigns, this role offers the opportunity to influence the way Sandfire tells its story, both within our organisation and to the wider world.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of Corporate Affairs to deliver and implement strategic communication that builds internal engagement and enhances Sandfire's corporate reputation.

• Partner with teams across the business, including our Assets, to develop timely, relevant, and consistent communications.

• Manage and update digital platforms including the corporate website and social media channels.

• Develop high-quality communication material including corporate reports, presentations, project briefs, and digital content.

• Support the planning and preparation of communication materials for key corporate events and reporting periods (e.g. AGM, Half-Year, Full-Year, and Quarterly Reports).

• Contribute to external stakeholder engagement initiatives in line with Sandfire's broader communications strategy.

• Measure and analyse communications performance using relevant tools and metrics to continuously improve reach and impact.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a communications or corporate affairs role.

• Proven ability to produce high-quality, audience-tailored content across a range of formats and channels.

• Demonstrated experience in brand strategy.

• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities.

• Experience working collaboratively with subject matter experts across diverse business units.

• Proficient in managing websites and social media platforms, as well as using analytics tools to evaluate communications effectiveness.

• Experience in the resources or mining sector, particularly corporate reporting.

Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and content management systems.

• A proactive and professional approach to work, with a strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Ability to lead initiatives and support team performance in a fast-paced environment
