What you'll be doing
- Providing personalised support to clients with a range of disabilities, assisting them with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation and community access
- Empowering clients to develop independent living skills and achieve their personal goals
- Skilled in working with people experiencing mental health challenges and fostering meaningful, therapeutic connections
- Advocating for clients and collaborating with their support networks to ensure their needs are met
- Maintaining detailed client records and contributing to the development of care plans
- Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures and safety standards
What we're looking for
- Minimum Certificate III or above in Individual Support
- Minimum 1 year experience in community services or disability support is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities to live independently
- A current First Aid certificate and appropriate police clearance
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Current Ochre Card or the ability to obtain one is required
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance must be held
- Current NT Drivers Licence must be held
- Valid Australian work visa is required for this position
