What you'll be doing

  • Providing personalised support to clients with a range of disabilities, assisting them with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation and community access
  • Empowering clients to develop independent living skills and achieve their personal goals
  • Skilled in working with people experiencing mental health challenges and fostering meaningful, therapeutic connections
  • Advocating for clients and collaborating with their support networks to ensure their needs are met
  • Maintaining detailed client records and contributing to the development of care plans
  • Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures and safety standards

What we're looking for

  • Minimum Certificate III or above in Individual Support
  • Minimum 1 year experience in community services or disability support is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities to live independently
  • A current First Aid certificate and appropriate police clearance
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Current Ochre Card or the ability to obtain one is required
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance must be held
  • Current NT Drivers Licence must be held
  • Valid Australian work visa is required for this position
