Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Family Services Support Worker, located on-site in Darwin, NT. The Family Services Support Worker will support families by providing advocacy, information, and practical assistance. Day-to-day tasks include assessing individual needs, connecting families with community resources, coordinating with other support services, and maintaining accurate records of support activities. This role will work closely with children and families to promote their overall well-being and development.

Qualifications

  • Experience in family services, social work, or community support
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community members and other service providers
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Understanding of First Nations cultures and communities is highly desirable
  • Relevant qualifications in social work, community services, or a related field
  • Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting the well-being of children and families
