As the Aboriginal Mental Health Trainee, you will work towards providing culturally safe, evidence-based, strengths-focused, recovery-orientated assessment and treatment within multi-disciplinary teams, in collaboration with external partners for consumers of the Mental Health Service. You will also work towards supporting the development of an Aboriginal cultural perspective within the treatment practices of the Mental Health Service, including the effects of transgenerational trauma of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.

In the Shoalhaven, on Dharawal and Yuin Country, ISLHD operate three hospital sites: David Berry Hospital, Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital and Milton Ulladulla Hospital.
