Joining Arup

Arup's purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world.

As a Social Procurement Manager, you'll support your geography to embed social benefit into procurement practices and major project delivery. You'll be a key connector between project teams, social suppliers, and internal stakeholders—driving strategy, partnerships, and tangible outcomes.

The Opportunity

  • Develop and implement Social and Indigenous Procurement Plans across major projects, identifying opportunities and removing barriers.
  • Build and grow relationships with majority-owned Indigenous and social enterprise suppliers within your geography.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with project teams to identify, evaluate, and mitigate procurement risks.
  • Upskill staff and lead initiatives that promote awareness and application of social procurement practices.
  • Contribute to Arup's industry leadership by supporting thought leadership, research, communications, and reporting.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.

You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

Is this role right for you?

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, project delivery, community engagement, or social value initiatives.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence diverse teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to navigate complex or ambiguous environments.
  • Willingness to learn or knowledge of Indigenous procurement practices, commercial processes, and relevant legislation.
  • A commitment to equity, sustainability, and advancing meaningful outcomes for Indigenous communities.

What we offer you

At Arup, we care about each member's success, so we can grow together.

Guided by our values, we provide an attractive total reward package that recognises the contribution of each of our members to our shared success.
