About the Role:

BK Industrial Group Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter/Machinist to join our field service team at a prominent global mining company located in Hedland.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, the ability to collaborate effectively, take pride in their craftsmanship, and excel in applying their trade skills.


• This position involves maintenance and troubleshooting of automated fixed plant equipment on a schedule of 7 days, 7 nights, and 14 days off, with a Fly in Fly out arrangement from Perth.


• The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience with automation and process control equipment, preferably in a food or beverage automated plant or automotive manufacturing environment.


• Experience in maintenance settings with a focus on urgent fault-finding in industrial, process control, and automation contexts is essential.


• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as CNC Sinumerik automation systems, are required.


• Proficiency in using, maintaining, and troubleshooting various CNC lathes is necessary.


• Familiarity with the 1SAP Maintenance system is preferred.

• Australian Mechanical Fitter/Turner certification


• Confined Space certification


• Working at Heights certification


• Current First Aid certification


• Basic fire training

• Valid 'C' (minimum) Driver's license


• Proven safety management record
