About the Role

Step into 2026 with exciting opportunities Major Oil & Gas projects are ramping up across Australia, and shortlisting for shutdown roles is set to begin soon

Due to ongoing project demand and growth, we are currently seeking experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitters to join our dynamic teams on major shutdowns throughout

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of key mechanical systems and components in high-risk, high-performance Oil & Gas environments. Your hands on experience and technical expertise will ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with stringent industry standards.

Duties will include but not limited to

• Flange management, including Hy-Torque and tensioning
• Performing heat exchanger maintenance services
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and P&IDs
• Handling and working safely with hazardous materials
• Assisting other disciplines with work outside of core mechanical scope
• Ability to work within a team environment while capable of working unsupervised.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety including participating in safety documentation requirements.

Requirements & Experience Needed

• 1-2 years experience working within the Mining, Resources & Energy sector.
• Ability to work shift work (Day/Night/Weekends).
• Possess formal Trade Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner, Maintenance Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Rotating Equipment Technician, or Fitter and Machinist.
• Flange Management Training (advantageous).
• Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential).
• Confined Space Entry certificate (within 2 years - essential).
• Gas Test Atmosphere (within 2 years – essential)
• Breathing Apparatus certificate (desirable).
• Current Drivers License (highly desirable).
• High Risk Work License (advantageous).
• White Card.
• Full Australian work rights.
