If so, Classic Toyota – Wilkesboro is seeking an experienced and skilled Service Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles according to dealership and manufacturer standards. This is a commission-only position, with the potential to earn between $60,000 to $150,000 per year, paid semi-monthly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic tests and repairs on vehicles according to dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Identify and efficiently repair mechanical issues with vehicles, including engines, transmissions, suspension, and brakes
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues
  • Keep track of all repair orders and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate effectively with the service team and provide updates on repair progress
  • Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge by attending training sessions and staying up to date with industry advancements
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certificate or degree in automotive technology preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician required
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
