This involves tracking assets, ensuring compliance with data security and environmental regulations, and coordinating logistics for proper disposal.

Responsibilities

Receiving

  • Managing the intake of retired IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, servers, and other devices.

Data Sanitisation

  • Implementing secure data erasure methods using Blancco Drive Eraser to meet industry and legal standards.

Resale, Recycling, and Disposal

  • Preparing equipment for resale, coordinating recycling efforts for components, and managing the final disposal of unusable items. 

Compliance

  • Ensuring adherence to data privacy regulations, environmental laws, and industry best practices. 

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintaining accurate records of asset disposition, including data destruction verification.

Inventory Management

  • Tracking IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposition, and maintaining accurate inventory records. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 Years in a similar role
  • Understanding of IT hardware, data erasure methods, and IT asset management principles.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations, e-waste regulations, and industry standards (i.e., R2v3).
  • Ability to track assets, manage inventory, and analyse data related to ITAD processes.
  • Not mandatory, but beneficial to be familiar with Blancco Technology's Blancco Drive Eraser.
  • Effectively communicating with stakeholders, resolving issues, and collaborating with internal teams.
  • Familiarity with Intel and Mac technologies.
  • Able to perform low-level fault diagnosis.
  • Must be able to obtain a current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) certificate.
