We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as an Emergency Capability Lead, reporting to the Executive Manager, nbn Emergency Management.
A bit about your role
The Emergency Capability Lead role is responsible for developing and delivering network emergency management capability across systems, people, and processes at nbn. It includes coordinating and delivering the Emergency Management Training, Exercise, and Lessons Management Program, supporting internal and external engagement, and driving continuous improvement.
The role also plays an active role in preparation, response, and recovery during emergency events, requiring periodic on-call availability and potential after-hours work. Key accountabilities include capability framework delivery, training and exercises, lessons management, and real-time emergency response coordination.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in emergency management, including experience in incident management teams and multi-agency response planning. They should be skilled in debriefing and evaluating emergency events, implementing lessons , and designing, managing, and evaluating emergency management exercises.
Key competencies include training design and delivery, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and strong planning and organizational abilities are essential.
