The Role

Our Designer(s)/Design Engineer(s) are responsible for the design and innovation of our Caravans.  You will work closely with the production team, and other stakeholders to develop innovative caravan and part designs that meet customer needs while maintaining production feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and innovation efforts by ensuring that all designs meet customer needs while maintaining production feasibility.
  • Undertake design processes, including developing design briefs, overseeing concept development.
  • Work closely with the production to ensure that all designs are feasible for production, and work with the engineering and production teams to address any technical design challenges.
  • Stay up to date with current design trends and technologies and integrate them into the company's design strategy.
  • Maintain Australian design standards and guidelines for the company, ensuring that all designs adhere to these standards.
  • Work with the sales team to understand customer needs and desires and incorporate this feedback into the design process.
  • Develop prototyping and testing protocols, ensuring that all designs meet quality and safety standards
  • Constantly look for and identify new trends and products in the market that will give Vision RV/Sunseeker an edge in the market.

What we are looking for:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial design, product design, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in design.
  • A strong understanding of SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of design processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
